School Counseling Services

The School Counselors at Bennet Academy work to help every student have a successful and positive 5th and 6th grade experience. They collaborate with students, parents, and teachers to provide support in many different ways.

In addition to classroom lessons, counselors offer group sessions and individual counseling on an as-needed basis. Common group topics include anger management, social skills, study skills, and family changes.

Counselors Can Help Students With:

  • Social and personal issues
  • Conflicts with peers
  • Academic concerns
  • Feeling comfortable and confident in school

Counselors Can Help Families With:

  • Locating parenting resources
  • Communicating with teachers and school staff
  • Academic or social-emotional concerns
